It’s been a busy couple of month’s at Blogalized, we have added 3 new themes to our product range. Released a free theme named Rough, which is getting a pretty good response. We have also been working hard on several new themes.

We have helped sponsor several WordPress competitions:

ChiQ over at wpthemedesigner organised a massive premium theme giveaway we were happy to be apart of.

We also offered a prize toward the weblogtoolscollection plugin competition.

WP Candy announced the - unofficial international WordPress day with several prize giveaways.

And the latest is wordcamp UK which we are really excited to be sponsoring and hoping to be attending on the 19th-20th July.

Besides all the giveaways and new themes, we also found time to offer help to 52 people over at the wordpress.org support forum & answer a bunch of support questions and queries from our own customers.

Two new themes for July

Just a quick note as we are nearing the end of June, we will be rolling out two brand new themes from the first of July. One of them will be apart of a new niche series. That’s all were giving away for now so keep checking back

We have added several new banner sizes to the affiliate section, there are also text links for each product available. Affiliates can use the text links and replace the text to an image of there choice.

I wanted a way to display the latest blog posts on the blogalized static homepage. First of all I tried the mini-loop. Through trial and error I mostly managed to get it to output the way I wanted, but it wasn’t ideal.

So I went on the hunt for a simple elegant RSS Parser and I found it with SimplePie. The documentation and examples were so easy to follow I had the whole process up and running within 20 minutes.

Now the Blogalized main page automatically displays the latest 4 posts from the Blog.
